Using Amazon import

Several categories (e.g., Book and Album) have the ability to create an item using a URL from Amazon. This is a fun and easy way to create an item that already has data for some of the fields (like book author or album release date). Simply

1. Go to the item page at Amazon and copy the URL
2. Paste it back into the appropriate box on the category page (e.g., go to the "Book" page, paste it into the box next to the "Add Amazon book" button, and click the button)

The page will automagically appear with all of its information filled in! It should be illegal to have this much fun, but it's actually legal, too!

Configuring Amazon import (administrator)

1. Register for amazon.com web services. See here for more information.
2. Get your developer token, and fill in the AMAZON_WS_TOKEN in index.php.

That's it. Now your importers will work! Have fun.

Updating Amazon item information (administrator)

The terms and conditions of Amazon's license to use its information state that you must update the information every 90 days. Visit AmazonUpdate to do this.
