ScottYilek: Pretty good; a lot more credible than McEwan's awful Atonement. The prose, like Atonement, is annoyingly overdone. However, this time the book has some interesting bits. I really liked the thoughful remarks on recent events, the detailed descriptions of neurosurgery, and the general format of the book (following one characters every move and thought for a quite eventful day).
